Buying from GO3D: Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions buyers ask most about GO3D industrial 3D printers, from choosing a printer and foundry patterns to installation, warranty, GeM and software.
Choosing a printer
Which FDM printer is right for my parts?
Choose by your largest part: the Artish 300 Pro for parts up to 300 mm, the Artish 700 or BX 700 up to 700 × 500 × 500 mm, and the BX 1200 for parts up to 1150 × 1000 × 1200 mm. Share your part size and material, and our team will recommend the right machine.
What is the difference between the Artish 700 and the BX 700?
Both have a 700 × 500 × 500 mm build volume. The BX 700 prints faster, adds HEPA and carbon filtration, WiFi and Ethernet connectivity, and a refreshed industrial design. Contact us to know more.
How big is the BX 1200?
The BX 1200 build volume is 1150 × 1000 × 1200 mm, about 3.8 × 3.3 × 3.9 ft, making it India’s largest made in India FDM 3D printer. Larger pieces can be printed in sections and assembled, like our six foot lion mascot.
Can GO3D printers run 24x7?
Yes. Dynamic Tools runs its BX 1200 around the clock, producing around 2 kg of prints per day.
Foundry patterns
How do we add machining and shrinkage allowance?
In GO3D Transform, our own slicer. Select the surfaces to be machined on your part, set the allowance, and the slicer builds the extra stock and blends the fillets. Shrinkage allowance is added the same way, so you don’t need a separate pattern model in CAD.
How many castings does a printed pattern last?
It depends on your requirement. Ganga Thermopack needed 30 to 40 aluminium castings per pattern and planned its material and settings for that. Tell us how many castings you need, and we will suggest the material, settings and finishing to match.
Do the layer lines show on the casting?
That depends on your nozzle size and finishing. Ganga prints with 0.4 mm layers and needs no sanding for its patterns. Many foundries print faster with a larger nozzle and then finish the surface by sanding or coating.
Can a large pattern be printed in one piece?
Yes, if it fits the build volume. The BX 1200 prints patterns up to 1150 × 1000 × 1200 mm in one piece. Larger patterns can be printed in sections and joined.
Buying and delivery
How is the final price confirmed?
Your quote is based on the machine, configuration and delivery location. Before you place an order, we confirm the final payable amount (including GST at 18%), delivery and installation responsibilities, and written warranty terms, so you can raise your purchase order.
Can we buy through GeM?
Yes. GO3D is a registered OEM on GeM, with Artish and BX printers listed for government and institutional buyers. Our team can help you find the right listing.
Can we get a sample print before buying?
Yes. Send us your part file and we will discuss a sample print. Whether a sample is free or paid is decided case by case.
Do you deliver across India?
Yes. GO3D has over 400 installations across India. Share your delivery PIN code and we will plan packing, freight and installation.
Installation, training and support
Do you install the printer on site?
Yes. For Artish and BX printers, our engineers install the printer at your site. Installation is arranged after discussion, with package pricing that varies by location.
Do you provide operator training?
Yes. GO3D provides 2 to 3 days of operator training with Artish and BX printers.
What warranty do GO3D printers have?
GO3D machines carry a standard 1 year warranty. An annual maintenance contract (AMC) is also available.
Software and materials
What software do we get with a GO3D printer?
We provide GO3D Transform, our own slicer, with Artish and BX printers. For foundries, it adds machining allowance and shrinkage allowance directly on your part, with no CAD rework.
What materials can GO3D FDM printers print?
PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, nylon (PA), polycarbonate (PC), and carbon fibre filled PLA and PETG. Nozzles run up to 300 °C as standard, with a 500 °C upgrade available at extra cost.
